News Update!

One eskimO on their official site have confirmed that 'Kandi' will be released as a download on 23rd February 2009 and also there will be a Kandi remix in time for Christmas! Other news includes the track 'Slip' being re-worked by Rollo and tweaks on a few other tracks on the 'All Balloons' album by eskimO to be released 18th May 2009. View the whole news update here. 'All Balloons' Out Early 2009

Nothing officially confirmed yet but according to a few blogs it looks as if One eskimO's hotly anticipated debut album will be released early next year!

According to the blogs, the album will be preceded by the digital track and animation for ‘Hometime’ and the band’s first official single ‘Kandi’. One of the blogs can be viewed here.

One eskimO New York Trip

Here's a montage of One eskimO's recent trip to New York, backed with 'High Low', a single taken from their debut album 'All Balloons' which is due to be released next year. Fans of Kristian's solo music might recognise the track.

New Gigs!

After a busy summer of festival apperances One eskimO have recently announced some more gigs coming up over the next few weeks!

- Union Chapel with Gemma Hayes, Islington, London, 8th September, 8pm
- Screen on the Street, Islington, London, 22nd September, 12pm

One eskimO are hosting the band stand as part of the Screen on the Street extrvaganza that will see Islington’s Liverpool Road get turfed over for one day only. They will be playing a few sets throughout the day giving some exclusive live airings of tracks from the ’All Balloons’ album. You’ll also get a chance to see their animations on the BIG screen too!

News Update!

Hey Guys!

I know the site seems pretty dead at the moment, but we're all still excited about One eskimO. As you've no doubt noticed, the album has been delayed for a bit so we're waiting anxiously for it to drop! Thanks a lot to Paul who's been looking after the blog better than I have. I will try and update it soon.

When the album comes out, we'll have to try and get all the fans to realize we're here!

One eskimO will be performing at Blissfields, Winchester on 6th July 2008 at 2pm as part of The Lockout showcase of 'The best new music in the UK'. Blissfields won the best small festival awards 2007.

One eskimO's 'Hometime' Video Wins The Public Choice Award At The 2008 British Animation Awards!

One eskimO last night sensationally won the Public Choice Award for their debut animated video 'Hometime'!

A big congratulations to the band and Gravy Media, the animation team behind the video.

The Public Choice award offered an audience the chance to select their favourite films from a range of animation films made over the past two years. Three programmes containing a mix of animated shorts, music videos and commercials were screened at 28 venues across the UK.

I'm sure you'll agree the best video won!

One eskimO Announce Gig At The Soho Revue Bar

It's just been announced One eskimO's next gig will be on 2nd April, 9pm at the Soho Revue Bar, London as part of the Curious Generation show with doors opening at 8pm. Entry costs £7, advance tickets can be bought from the Curious Generation website here.

One eskimO’s 'Hometime' Video Nominated For Public Choice at the 2008 British Animation Awards!

One eskimO have been nominated for the Public Choice award at the 2008 British Animation Awards for their 'Hometime' video! A big congratulations to the animation team behind the video (Gravy Media), a great start to 2008! We can all do our own little bit by voting for the video at one of the screenings in February, more info HERE.

One eskimO in Radio 2 Programme

One eskimO feature in a new two part series showing on BBC Radio 2 starting on Tuesday 22nd January 2008 called 'Chasing Celebrity'.

The series looks at 'the pros and cons, the ups and downs, and the dos and don'ts of surfing the fickle wave of fame' and includes following One eskimO in the "making" of a public profile as it tracks the planning and launch of the band and their quest to be the next big thing.

Showcase:LIVE Blog Features One eskimO

Showcase:LIVE's Myspace blog has One eskimO as their featured artist. Not a lot of new information, but it has some nice quotes from Kristian Leontiou including how "Hometime" was conceived:

"The band, who describe their sound as "ambient electro acoustic", have just released their first single Hometime. Kristian wrote the track whilst on a snowboarding trip with Adam, although it seems he didn't get much snowboarding done. He laughs: "We went years ago and I cut my leg open. I then had a lot of time on my own and that's when Hometime came about." The amazing video is on their MySpace, which they've been building up for the last year."

"Kandi" to be One eskimO's Next Single

I'm not entirely sure how I've missed this, but it was recently confirmed that "Kandi" will be the next One eskimO single. It'll be out March 24th 2008. Not long before the album, really.
