One eskimO’s 'Hometime' Video Nominated For Public Choice at the 2008 British Animation Awards!

One eskimO have been nominated for the Public Choice award at the 2008 British Animation Awards for their 'Hometime' video! A big congratulations to the animation team behind the video (Gravy Media), a great start to 2008! We can all do our own little bit by voting for the video at one of the screenings in February, more info HERE.

One eskimO in Radio 2 Programme

One eskimO feature in a new two part series showing on BBC Radio 2 starting on Tuesday 22nd January 2008 called 'Chasing Celebrity'.

The series looks at 'the pros and cons, the ups and downs, and the dos and don'ts of surfing the fickle wave of fame' and includes following One eskimO in the "making" of a public profile as it tracks the planning and launch of the band and their quest to be the next big thing.

Bedford Gig on the 22nd!

I've just recieved this flyer from One EskimO's Live Consultant, Allison. Looks like an amazing venue. I'll be watching online, enviously. Who's going?

Showcase:LIVE Blog Features One eskimO

Showcase:LIVE's Myspace blog has One eskimO as their featured artist. Not a lot of new information, but it has some nice quotes from Kristian Leontiou including how "Hometime" was conceived:

"The band, who describe their sound as "ambient electro acoustic", have just released their first single Hometime. Kristian wrote the track whilst on a snowboarding trip with Adam, although it seems he didn't get much snowboarding done. He laughs: "We went years ago and I cut my leg open. I then had a lot of time on my own and that's when Hometime came about." The amazing video is on their MySpace, which they've been building up for the last year."

"Kandi" to be One eskimO's Next Single

I'm not entirely sure how I've missed this, but it was recently confirmed that "Kandi" will be the next One eskimO single. It'll be out March 24th 2008. Not long before the album, really.
